Community Spotlight: C2D Performs at CSI’s PEBBLE Program Launch Highlighting Teamwork Through Dance

Chance 2 Dance was proud to be featured at the inaugural conference for the PEBBLE Program (Peer Enhanced Blockchain-Based Learning Environment) at the College of Staten Island. Hosted by the Department of Psychology and funded by the National Science Foundation, the event brought together peer leaders, educators, and innovators for a day focused on collaboration and student empowerment.

C2D was invited to perform and showcase the power of teamwork and inclusion through adaptive dance. Our New York team, in partnership with Person Centered Care Services of NY, delivered a joyful and high-energy performance that captured the spirit of unity and expression. The audience of students and faculty responded with warmth and enthusiasm, further reinforcing the value of peer connection and diversity.

Jackie Castore, Program Director and Expansion Director for Chance 2 Dance, shared her gratitude:

We had a blast performing at CSI’s new peer leadership program. Our dancers truly shined and brought so much life to the event. We’re excited to continue building a relationship with CSI in the future.

The PEBBLE Program launch also included campus-wide activities like scavenger hunts, peer leadership workshops, and collaborative discussions on the future of student support using innovative technologies.

We are honored to be part of such an inspiring kickoff and look forward to more opportunities that connect the arts, accessibility, and education.
