Due to recent state and local funding cuts, inclusive arts programs like Chance 2 Dance are facing serious financial setbacks. Founder and Executive Director Nicole Warren, who also served on Orange County’s DEI grant committee, shared how the loss of a $50,000 state operational grant and a $15,000 county grant partnership with the Orlando Philharmonic has directly impacted their ability to provide certified instruction and launch new programming. Despite these cuts, Nicole remains committed to the mission of inclusion, continuing to serve over 1,400 dancers with disabilities across Central Florida. As she puts it, “If I submit to what’s going on, then who do we have to help others in need?”
