Advance your Dance
The C2D Performance Team is for the dancer interested in advancing their knowledge, experiences and performance opportunities. Members are selected based on their interest, ability, participation and love for the art of dance.
This group has an 8:1 instructional ratio, thus dancers must be able to work cooperatively and appropriately in a large group and must be able to behave accordingly when performing at community events.
Our performance team requires top commitment compared to other C2D studio programs. The Performance Team members also receive competitive performance experiences where they compete in local, regional and national dance competitions for adjudication scores and awards.
What it takes to be on the Chance 2 Dance Performance Team
Dancers must go through an audition process to join this team. They must participate in two competitions per year, community performances and appearances. If the team member cannot attend, we must be notified in advance to make appropriate accommodations.
The Performance Team rehearsal/performance season runs from August to June and dancer must attend assigned rehearsals per week to maintain their spot on the team. Performance Team members must also enroll in at least one ‘MOVEZ’ technique class per season.
Dancers must behave appropriately at all events and show consistency in attending practices each week. Dancers must be committed to our mission and exemplify professionalism when participating in anything associated with C2D.
All class fees directly fund our inclusive programming and outreach efforts. By registering, you’re supporting Chance 2 Dance’s mission to provide accessible and inclusive dance opportunities for individuals of all abilities.
